All in all I enjoyed the movie, and it did give me more closure. MOVIE SPOILER I got really sad at Hohenheim's death, I think that was some of Brotherhood's doing because I thought he was pathetic in '03. And as usual, they did emotional parts well. They love to exploit a certain character, as usual LOL. Sure a few characters get a little short shrift but that’s to be expected. The production values are first rate and the movie builds to a suitably epic climax. The action sequences, much like the series, are fantastic. Lol RoyEd fuel? Sweet fighting scenes, I wanted more of them in FMA. Full Metal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shambala ultimately does the best it can with its 120 minute slot. But i get that this is his character here, and it made for a sweet comeback entrance at least. Plot wise there were times I was 'eh.' but I can't deny they execute it well in at least some aspect nonetheless. Given such numerous predictions, I still didnt bank on the movie being a shambolic disappointment. Some parts made me remember why I didn't like the '03 anime, as well as what I adored about it. Fullmetal Alchemist is a masterpiece which set the new benchmark for any anime in the fantasy genre for that reason, I had many expectations of FMA: Conqueror of Shamballa and many ideas about the directions the story would take. I just wanted a better impression of this show. I expect shonen anime movies to be meh, you might know how it's like generally if you've seen one.
